There really is no other way to say it, in our opinion: this is the best game on Messenger 2011. Sure, there are games with better graphics, which require more strategy and even have a multiplayer option, but find me a game that is more addictive than Bejeweled 3 and I'll eat my hat.
If you are one of the seven people on Earth that hasn't played any of the previous versions of Bejeweled then here's a rundown of the basics of Bejeweled 3. It's pretty much the same as the previous versions but with more levels, better graphics and some funkier sounds.
Players swap one "gem" with an adjacent gem to form a row of three or more gems of the same shape and colour. Once you do this, the gems disappear (resulting in points) and new gems randomly drop down from above to fill up the empty spots.
Often gems will explode if you have successfully put four or more in alignment, this equates to a scarily fun sound effect and of course, more points.
If you're super lucky, falling gems will line up without your strategic efforts. This causes a cascading effect which means, you guessed it, more points!
On a side note, make sure you select the "classic mode" as all others you will need to pay for. If you do decide to challenge yourself at the four different modes, make sure you're the one paying the bill or get mum or dad's approval first.
Before you get started remember that you can always click "hint" if you're stuck and in your down times check out your Messenger Social feed up the top of your gamer's box.
When you have finished playing, just follow the steps to publish your score to your social networks. There's nothing better than beating your best bud at a game of Bejeweled 3!
Gems to look out for include normal gem, flame gem, star gem, hypercube gem and the ultra elusive supernova gem.
